I like to spend my free time with my family, and particularly enjoy taking nature hikes.

Bernard Van den Abeele
With my passion for international relations and preference for Central Africa, it was only natural that I should become involved in founding Axyom, an agency specialising in capacity building in the management of organisations active in development and humanitarian work.
During the first 10 years of my career in the sector, I strengthened my expertise in programme/project/organisational management on-site in the field, mainly in DR Congo, and from Brussels, with various NGOs. Since the foundation of Axyom in 2009, I have specialised in institutional development and organisational strengthening with a particular focus on fundraising. .
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking in the Alps, mountain biking in the Belgian Ardennes and… partying! My motto: "Take your work very seriously without taking yourself too seriously".

After graduating, I decided to specialise in the development aid sector.
In the first part of my career, I gained experience in financial and administrative management in the Great Lakes region (Burundi and DRC) working for Belgian NGOs.
Currently, with Axyom, I am supporting an international foundation in DR Congo in the field of administration and finance.
Apart from IT, I also enjoy music and football. During my holidays I like to discover other countries. I have already had the opportunity to visit several countries, such as Germany, Brazil, Belgium, Rwanda and Tanzania.

My mission is to support our partners in financial management, human resources management, administration and taxation.

I hold a PhD in Project and Financial Management and I am passionate about the professionalisation of profit and non-profit organisations. For more than 26 years, I have been working with NGOs and non-profit organisations in DR Congo and other Central African countries.
The experience I have acquired has been enriching because it frequently leads to the formalisation of more intuitive and innovative procedures and tools for organisational management practices. I see financial management as a major planning and decision-making tool.
I like analysing risks and questioning the obvious in order to identify new options. Don't we say: "practice has theories that science does not know”?
Next to my work, I like to play football and chess.

Annelies Croon

I coach and train partner organisations to strengthen their financial management and accounting skills. Sharing knowledge and experience is what I enjoy most about my job.

Valérie Vialatte
For 20 years, I've been administrative and financial manager for the non-profit sector in Belgian, French and Swiss organisations. From working in the field in Serbia, the DRC, Uganda, Burundi and South Sudan, I have moved on to supporting projects from Europe, with links to many countries including Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Tunisia, Greece and Indonesia.
While administrative and financial management is my area of expertise, my experience in logistics, HR, IT and project management gives me the ability to analyse internal processes and provide support to organisations on the move.
I enjoy providing advice and training, and watching my colleagues and partners become more comfortable and independent with their budgets and funding. Passing on, sharing and learning from every situation, every encounter, that's what drives me.
My spare time is for my family and friends, music and my garden.

Nathalie Manirakiza
Passionate about human issues and inclusion, it was only natural for me to join Axyom, a company dedicated to providing strategic and financial support to not-for-profit organisations and NGOs. Prior to that, my career path led me to develop expertise in international project management, particularly in the fields of finance and SAP implementation.
After several years in the chemical industry, where I acquired skills in controlling and project management, as well as enriching experiences in Europe, the United States and Asia, I decided to become an entrepreneur by joining a Tunisian group active in the construction sector on the African continent. Today, at Axyom, I specialise in supporting organisations with a social vocation, a field that resonates deeply with my values.
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring new cultures through travel, spending time with my loved ones and savouring moments of conviviality.

I joined Axyom in 2023 after more than twenty years in finance for various NGOs and associations. I have worked in Belgium and Cambodia and carried out numerous support missions in Africa and Asia.
Discover new organizations and meet the people behind them. Exploring their projects, understanding how they work and supporting them in their financial management... that's what gives meaning to my daily life!
In my spare time, I spend with my family and two children, traveling, reading, running in the great outdoors, watching shows and going out with friends.

Elodie Doutrepont
Passionate about humanitarian and development issues, I began my career with internships in various NGOs and NPOs before joining a Belgian NGO, where I worked on managing partnerships and institutional funding.
After several years' experience, I joined Axyom to deepen my skills in institutional development and strengthen my strategic support for organisations. At the same time, I'm helping to run my partner's business, an enriching experience that gives me a different view of the sector.
In my spare time, I spend time with my family and my little boy, enjoy meals with friends, and relax by doing puzzles or watching medical series.
